Privacy policy
Which Google data my PPC tools access, what they use it for, where it is kept, who else receives it, and how to revoke access.
Who I am
I'm Alptuğ Özer, an independent PPC consultant working under the AlptugAds name. I manage Google Ads accounts for advertisers, and I build and run the tools this policy describes. "I", "me" and "my" on this page refer to me.
Contact: ppc@alptugozer.com
What this policy covers
This policy covers my PPC tooling, including:
- Baseline, the monitoring product described on this site.
- Alptug PPC, the Google OAuth application my tools use to connect to Google. I use it to access the Google accounts of advertisers I manage, sometimes through a Google account that an agency or client provides.
Google data I access, and why
Alptug PPC requests the following Google permissions.
-
Google Ads
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwordsTo read account structure and performance data for monitoring and reporting, and to make changes to campaigns only when a person has reviewed and approved each change.
Baseline itself is read-only: it never changes a campaign, a budget or a bid. Changes come from a separate tool that requires approval of every change.
-
Google Sheets
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheetsTo read and update my own configuration spreadsheet.
-
Google Drive
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/driveTo read and edit my own per-client instruction files.
-
Basic profile
openid, emailOnly to record which Google account granted access.
Where data is stored
I keep OAuth tokens and the data retrieved with them on my own computers, not on third-party servers.
Processing by AI
Account and performance data may be sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate analyses and reports for me, such as weekly account reviews. Anthropic receives this data as a service provider, to produce those results.
Sharing
- I don't sell data received from Google APIs.
- I don't use it for advertising purposes, such as retargeting or personalised or interest-based ads.
- I don't share it with third parties, except the service providers needed to run these tools: Anthropic, for the AI processing described above, and Telegram, which delivers monitoring alerts to me.
Limited Use
Alptug PPC's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, signed in with the Google account that granted it. If access was granted through an agency's or client's Google account, the owner of that account can revoke it there.
To ask for data I hold about an account to be deleted, email ppc@alptugozer.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the effective date above.
